It’s been a while right? You may not even remember me at this point. But could you borrow me a couple minutes of yours? It’s kinda of a long text, so make sure you have time ok?
I've been developing Winston, a new iOS client for Reddit, for a while now. Until today Winston was restricted to Patreon subscribers, but apparently that made Reddit pretty angry and decided to ban my Reddit account and email me a threatening letter asking me to shutdown the app.
Remember me?I used to send a few newsletters about the latest news.Unfortunately I got some issues and couldn’t do it anymore. But I’m here to show you something really cool. I know, it’s kind of a spam, but bro it’s so damn cool I don’t even care. It’s called…….
Do you know Alfred? If you’re a MacOS user you probably do, but just in case, Alfred is a replacement for Spotlight but WAAAAAY better. It’s faster, lighter, has more features, it’s awesome! And it also has support for custom workflows, which is basically mini algorithms that run when you type something in the search bar.
I’m a huge fan of VR headsets. VR is probably the next big thing and I’m super excited to see what’s next.
Do you know about full body tracking? No? Oh boy, it’s fucking cool. The term speaks for itself but the current VR headsets are only capable of tracking your hand and fingers (thanks to the controllers), a full body tracking can track every movement from your body and translate them to the virtual world.
I knew about Hey mail some months ago. I remember to really like the idea but since there was no native apps for both phone or desktop, I kept avoiding it. I have a certain resistance for Electron and web view apps but also an admiration since I’m myself a web dev.
I recently bought an iPad + Apple Pencil and found out that I actually enjoy drawing, I only hate the limitations of a paper (can’t undo, erase wears down the paper, can’t move parts).
We have some new subscribers this time. Hello to all :)
But yeah, the James Webb telescope is fully deployed! All of it’s mirrors and parts are unfolded and ready to go. They will be testing for some months before we see any cool picture from zillions of years ago. Each mirror is capable of moving 0.1 microns or 1/400th the thickness of a human hair. Really precise.
